Short Aberlleiniog Circular (2.42miles / 3.89km)

  God it was good to be out today. It’s been far, far too long. We also managed to catch the dreaded Covid over Christmas so today was my first day out of isolation. Because of that I wanted a reasonably quiet and short walk with the genod so as not to overdo things. This is a walk we’ve done before not too long ago when Anwen was still in the front carrier. Last time we went a lot further and there are a few loops you can add if you fancy a longer walk.  Aberlleiniog is a bit of a gem. It’s located between Beaumaris and Penmon so you get amazing views over Afon Menai towards Eryri, but you also have a lovely woodland walk by a river, and a castle thrown in for good measure! It’s not as well known as other historical locations on Ynys Môn so is often pretty quiet. It’s easy walking with clearly defined paths, although they can get a little muddy at times, especially at this time of year.
